With the aim of providing a fair hearing, property owners are now granted the opportunity to voice their concerns regarding the valuation of their properties and any associated tax implications.

The court, presided over by Samuel Muyizzi Mulindwa and endowed with powers comparable to a Magistrate’s court, is focused on resolving issues arising from property tax concerns raised especially by land lords in Kampala city.

This development comes as a relief for many residents and property owners who have long awaited a channel to address their grievances. The KCCA Valuation Court’s establishment serves as a testament to the authorities’ dedication to resolving taxation issues in a fair and unbiased manner.

Through the proceedings, property owners will have the chance to present their evidence, cite discrepancies, and provide any additional information to support their claims.

The court, composed of impartial judges and experts in property valuation, will carefully examine each case, ensuring that due process is followed and all parties are given a fair opportunity to be heard.

The KCCA Valuation Court’s commitment to transparency is evident in its open-door policy, where property owners and their legal representatives are encouraged to attend the hearings. This allows for a direct engagement between the court and the concerned parties, fostering a sense of trust and accountability.
