Some Of These Dancehall Artists want to be me so bad! They want to look like Me, Sing Like Me, Walk Talk and Dress Like Me. SMH.”
However, not everyone was impressed by Rabadaba’s self-proclaimed status. A Pass, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music scene, responded to Rabadaba’s assertions during an appearance on NTV The Beat.
He dismissed the claims made by Rabadaba as unfounded and driven by emotions, stating, “I think he spoke through feelings, he didn’t speak with facts. Anyone can say what they want but it doesn’t mean it’s factual.”
A Pass further emphasized the importance of facts and substance in the music industry, highlighting his own contributions to the dancehall genre.
He challenged the notion that Rabadaba’s past success automatically translated to present-day relevance, stating, “No one can say Rabadaba wasn’t good — he was really good.
But because he was so good, he ran away. If you believe what you’re doing is exceptional, stay here and keep doing it. His 15 minutes of fame are long gone.”
