President Museveni has promoted five prison officers to the highest rank of assistant commissioner general of prisons.
Those promoted as assistant commissioner general prisons include Milton Tiyo, Tumwebaze John Bosco, Munanura Robert, Dr Johnson Byabashaija, the commissioner general of Uganda prisons said that the prison officers were promoted following a scrutiny and advice to the president.
Meanwhile the president also promoted four to SCP and they include Wilson Francis Magomu, Jude Tadeo Kalisa, Frank Mayanja Baine and Julius Aloka.
Francis Magomu has been serving as commissioner in charge of security and service operations. He previously held the position of commissioner of prisons headquarters and was also regional prison commander in charge of Kampala extra.
Following the 2020 reshuffle, Jude Tadewo Kalisa then serving as commissioner prisons headquarters was appointed commissioner prisons in charge of prisons projects development and he has been serving in the portfolio of seed multiplication and cotton production.
However those promoted to commissioner of prisons include Allyo Naatukunda, Aggrey Aturwaniriire, Mugabirwe Kenneth, Stellah Nabuya, Brenda Sana, Jacob Kivumbi, Alex Ben Simon Wansadha, Apollo Bakwate Akankunda, Juliet Nantale, Prossy Geraldine Najuuma, Alex Mukola Oloka and Moses Ssentalo who has headed to Kigo prison.
