Uganda Cranes will be hoping to make history of qualifying to the knockout stage today as they take on Ivory Coast in their final Group B game at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.
Micho and his charges go into Sunday’s clash top of the table on 4 points and need just to avoid defeat to secure a slot in the last eight.
“If you look at their results and the performance on pitch, they should be having more points. Therefore, we are facing a good side capable of hurting us,” Micho said on Saturday.
Moses Waiswa, the second assistant captain believes Uganda needs to top the Group if they want to progress further into the tournament.
Uganda Cranes has played at CHAN for a record six times but not at one point have they gone beyond the Group stage.
Actually, the win against Senegal on Wednesday was only Uganda’s second at the tournament in 17 attempts, the first coming in 2014 against Burkina Faso.
