Former Veteran journalist John Nagenda to be buried today
Information coming in to our news desk indicate the former senior presidential advisor on media and public relations John Nagenda will be buried today at his home in Buloba along Mityana road.
When we contacted the deputy presidential press secretary Mr Faruk Kirunda he told us that Nagenda will be buried today and will be accorded a normal burial with the office of the president in charge of the arrangements.
“There will be a funeral service at Exactly 10am in Buloba at his home and the prime minister Robinah Nabbanja will represent his Excellency during the service,” Mr Kiruda said.
The veteran journalist died last week on Saturday at medipal International Hospital after being ill for some time.
John Nagenda born on April 25 1938 in Rwanda . He attended Namuamba Primary school, Kong’s college Buddo, Busoga college Mwiri and later joined Makerere University for a degree in English.
He once worked in Nairobi at the Oxford University press before traveling to the United States if America where he lived and criticized Ugandan governments at the time of years.
However he later returned after President Museveni capturing power through guerrilla warfare in 1986.
