Col Sseruyange Ddamulira replaces Gen Ondoga as Uganda’s military attache to Saudi Arabia
Col Chris Sseruyange Ddamulira has become the new military attaché taking over from Maj Gen Michael Ondoga who has far long been serving in the position for close to three years having retired from active service of the army.
While speaking at the handover ceremony on Monday, the UPDF joint chief of staff Maj Gen Leopold Eric Kyanda commended Maj Gen Ondoga for the well served time while on duty.
However Gen Kyanda congratulated Col Sseruyange upon the appointment and advised him to uphold the good relations between the two countries as well as maintaining good reputation of discipline in the UPDF.
Col Chris Sseruyange Ddamulira while speaking thanked God and praised President Museveni and the entire UPDF leadership for trusting him with such a big office.
Col Chris prior joined the UPDF as a young man where he underwent several training and education .
His career begun from UPDF and promised to serve to the best of his ability.
Uganda and Saudi Arabia however continue to enjoy cordial relations that have grown and developed over the years.
The two countries also share in common a joint membership in the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic cooperation.
Several high rank officers attended the handover ceremony including Cox Alfred Anguzu the ministry of Defence Commissioner of human resource, Brig Prof Godard Busingye, the UPDF chief of legal services among other officials.
